A shocking case of fraud has come to light involving Jagadish Singh Patani, father of Bollywood actress Disha Patani. The former police officer and Bareilly resident was allegedly cheated out of Rs 25 lakh by scammers promising a high-ranking government job.
Disha Patani’s Father Duped of ₹25 Lakh in Government Job Scam
According to reports, Patani received a call from an individual claiming connections with top Uttar Pradesh government officials. The fraudster promised Patani the chairman position in a state corporation body in exchange for the payment.
Patani transferred Rs 20 lakh into fake bank accounts and handed over an additional Rs 5 lakh in cash. Upon realizing the scam, he filed a complaint with the Bareilly police, leading to an FIR and an ongoing investigation.
Meanwhile, Disha Patani’s latest film, “Kanguva,” hits theaters, receiving mixed reviews. The actress has another project lined up, “Welcome To The Jungle,” alongside Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh.
In a separate interview, Disha shared insights into her family life, revealing her father’s awkwardness with her photoshoots and her mother’s secret social media stalking.
The incident serves as a reminder to remain vigilant against fraudulent activities and report suspicious cases to the authorities.
